AMC / CMC — Maintenance
& Support Contracts
A robot that is not operationally ready is not an asset. It is a liability waiting to be discovered.
Operational readiness is not a condition that platforms maintain on their own. It requires structured
maintenance, proactive monitoring, rapid fault response, and a support organisation that is genuinely close
to where the platforms are deployed — not one that issues instructions from a distant service centre.
THRSL's maintenance contracts are built around one principle: the platforms we deploy must be ready
when they are needed. We have supported platforms in active Army deployment. We know what field
maintenance demands, and we have structured our AMC and CMC offerings around those demands —
not around what is convenient for a service provider
Contract Structure
Annual Maintenance
Contract (AMC)
Scheduled preventive maintenance with defined visit intervals, calibration protocols, and component inspection cycles. Includes fault diagnosis and rectification for issues arising between scheduled visits, with response times agreed at contract stage and aligned to the operational criticality classification of each platform.
Comprehensive Maintenance Contract
(CMC)
Full-scope maintenance covering all labour, parts, and consumables within agreed parameters. Designed for commands that require predictable total cost of ownership and do not want to carry the procurement overhead of ad hoc spares acquisition. Includes software and firmware maintenance as standard.
Software & Firmware
Maintenance
Managed update programmes covering capability enhancements, bug resolution, and security patches — delivered via update mechanisms appropriate to the operational security posture of the deployment. All updates are regression-tested before distribution to fielded platforms.
Spares Availability
Guarantee
Critical spares holdings are maintained at agreed inventory levels, with documented
availability commitments. Platforms do not sit unserviceable because a part is on a
six-week lead time from an overseas supplier.
What Distinguishes Our Support Model
Indigenous
Support Chain
THRSL's maintenance capability is entirely in-country. Our technicians are THRSL-trained engineers who understand the systems they are supporting at the design level — not thirdparty contractors reading a service manual. There is no foreign OEM dependency in our support chain for platforms we have built.
Field-realistic
Response
We have supported platforms in deployment conditions that were nothing like a controlled workshop environment. Our service structure accounts for the reality of where these platforms operate — not the idealised conditions that make SLA commitments easy to meet.
Documentation For
Audit & Compliance
Every maintenance intervention is documented with the traceability that defence audit and compliance processes require. Service records, parts usage, software version history, and technician qualification records are maintained and available for review.
